The 69 Eyes' new album "Angels" is finally ready!!! The final track listing is:

It will be out through Virgin/EMI on March 5th, 2007. The limited edition will include a bonus DVD containing "Perfect Skin" video, a 5-song live from Hollywood's Whisky a Go-Go in 2006 and "On The Route 69" short film based on Ville Juurikkala's photos.

The album was produced by Hiili Hiilesmaa and Johnny Lee Michaels – the same infamous team that brought you "Devils".

The first single pick is "Perfect Skin" – the video for it was directed by Ralf Strathmann and it was filmed in Hollywood in the mid October 2006. You can watch the video here. The commercial release of the single will be in January/February 2007, depending on your country. The additional tracks on the single will be live versions of "Devils", "Christina Death" and "I Just Want to Have Something to Do" (orig. by the Ramones) recorded at Whisky a Go-Go in Hollywood in March 2006.

Owning my own coffin case I can comment that its a fantastic looking and performing piece of kit! So I look forward to seeing some of the kit around with the band, it will surely tie in with their current image.

Work has slowed down a lot here due to the fact I am now a one man development team working on the back end alone. Anyway I repaired the contact page so those who wish, may get in contact, send comments etc. I am also looking for some experienced in skinning forums, so if this is a talent of yours please do use the all new contact page!

Just added the media page back in guys so you can check out our exclusive interview with Jyrki at Glothrama last April. Also the video pages with the 69Eyes.org video messages straight from Jyrki to the UK fans are now back!

I've just finished the discography so that page is now accessible to all visitors, it should contain an entire listing of all albums, singles, vinyl's and dvds released to date. I still have to add a list of VHS tapes released so that will be coming shortly!

Unfortunately there have been delays with the development of the site so until those are worked out which should only be a short time, I will be adding some pages to the site manually for you guys to browse. Any questions send them onto me Matt@69Eyes.org and Ill get back to you asap.

On another note I'm looking for some dedicated UK fans to help build up a UK unofficial fan team to get the band more recognised over here. If your interested then contact me at the address above and let me know how you can help promote.

"Invited by the Board of Directors of UNICEF Finland Jyrki69, singer of the rock band The 69 Eyes, today signed an agreement of cooperation with the organization. Jyrki69 has done excellent UNICEF work as Spokesperson for the school campaign “Stolen childhood”. “Stolen Childhood” is a campaign designed for schools, and the beneficiaries are children in West-African Benin, who run the risk of becoming trafficked. During the ceremony, Executive Director Pentti Kotoaro of UNICEF Finland said that “the unselfish work of the Goodwill Ambassadors is a priceless resource to UNICEF. With their help the message of children’s rights reaches audiences, to which we would not have access otherwise.” The Goodwill Ambassadors are UNICEFs messengers and spokespersons for children’s rights. They commit to the goals of the organization and put children’s issues on the agenda in their own field. Goodwill Ambassadors are volunteers for UNICEF. The Goodwill Ambassadors of UNICEF Finland are Eija Ahvo, Susanna Haavisto, Anna Hanski, Katri Helena Kalaoja, Rainer Kaunisto, Juha Laukkanen, Pave Maijanen, Eppu Nuotio, Micke Rejström, Jorma Uotinen, Eija Vilpas and Trio Töykeät, that is Iiro Rantala, Rami Eskelinen and Eerik Siikasaari. International Goodwill Ambassadors are among others Harry Belafonte, David Beckham, Angelina Jolie, Robbie Williams, Angélique Kidjo, Ricky Martin and Sir Roger Moore, who is soon to visit Finland."

As his first UNICEF field trip Jyrki will be visiting Kenya at the end of August 2005.
